The concrete pad for the concession stand has been put on hold because the season is getting ready to start.
The county may be giving us some land more fields. They plan on clearing the land around the cemetery. We might even get permanent bathrooms. On October 3, there will be an announcement to the public about the plans for all the land that has been acquired. Plan on attending (it will be held at the fields) and wear your blue region shirt.
The region was selected to send a U12 boys team to the National games in Chicago. We will need a referee team, a coaching staff and a staff to pick the team. The region will pay the $400 entry fee. This is due by September 20. All boys in U12 any in U10 that are moving up in the fall will be eligible to try out.
Russ Wise gave the treasures report. The July treasures report from National showed no problems. We started the month with $2000 and ended July with $58,000. A check for at least $10,000 will need to be sent to National for players insurance.
The team coordinators need to talk to the coaches about getting more people to sign up for referees.
There are 96 coaches this season. According to eAYSO, 40 are trained, 36 need age-specific training and several need the Safe Haven course.
There are still fields that need to be laid out. All fields need to be lined. Coaches will be responsible for lining specific fields. If you want to do this on your regular practice night you will need to check with John Harbinson before just going out there.
The jerseys are in. They will be available on Saturday. We need some tables to display them on.
The newsletter is on the web-site. We need people to pass them out on game day.
The regional assessment information is due by September 8. We have to turn it in to Lee Stewart at the end of the month.
There is to be no more Ramblings sent out on AYSO group mail.
There are new keys for the main gate and both buildings. They will be distributed
accordingly.
