It was decided that the Fall registration would be Saturday July 21st. at Central High School from 10:00a.m. Until 2:00p.m. Cat will order registration forms. Please wear your blue region shirts and if you do not have one let George know. He has extra. Be there early to help set up. That is the same weekend as Super Camp in Maryville. However, we should still have enough volunteers to do the registration. Russ will check on getting Central HS.
Sharon gave the treasurer’s report. Our balance is $55,000.00 and all
known
Bills are paid. We have ordered 4 new picnic tables. They will be delivered
before Soccerfest. Sharon and Liesl will do an audit soon. Sharon reminded everyone
that his or her budgets are due by the June board meeting.
Chris requested ordering new goals for the U10 and U12. We would like to replace two sets of goals per season until we are rid of the older, heaver ones. Chris plans to add fertilizer and aerate the fields after the season is over. We will also look at putting some type of drain system in the lower corner of field 5. It does not drain as good as the rest of the fields. We also need to buy a truckload of sand to fill in some holes. Field 5 will be made into a U12 field for Soccerfest and field 3 will become a U10 field.
The AYSO Soccer Camp will be June 25th – 29th. The Challenger Camp will be July 30th - Aug 3rd. Both have morning and afternoon sessions.
David reported we have 42 teams signed up for Soccerfest. Soccerfest will be May 18, 19 and 20th. The U6 jamboree will be this Saturday, May 12th. So far, we have a Lady Vols basketball signed by Pat Summit, a soccer ball signed by all the Lady Vols soccer players. Several gift baskets donated by teams, Soccer Moms, and a basket from Cricket phone service. We have a cash donation from the Knoxville News Sentinel. More items and donations are expected.
