The July board meeting for AYSO Region 337 was held at Lee Stewart Fields on July 14 at 7:30 pm. Board members present were: George Burgess, Pat Burgess, Amanda Wilshire, Mary Davis, Liesl Harrison, Russ Wise, Sharon Wise, Jeff Wolfenbarger, Rich Guy, Teresa Guy, Sandra Harbison, John Harbison, Dennis Earl, Mike Thress, Lynn Waller, Amy Waller, Jason DeRosa, Mike Moody, Jim Favaro, Melissa Range, Rick Roth, Tyina Barnes, Joe Myers, David Lister, Angela Lister, David Poling, and Catrina Clark. If you came in late let me know.

The first registration for the fall season will be held at Central High School on July 16th from 10 am till 2 pm. Sandra requested that everyone get there early to help setup. Wear your blue region shirts and have a friendly smiley face. Sandra passed out a layout for how registration will be set up, the flow of people, and how to direct people as they come in.

The Soccer Mom league has had a very good turn out. We had 19 show up last week, and there are more coming out next week.

George wants anyone that might know someone who does concrete work to let him know. We need to get moving on the concrete pad for the concession stand.

An inventory of the jerseys was done (Melissa, Amy, Theresa, George, and Mike). Melissa will be ordering the new jerseys (one white, one blue). We can no longer get reversible jerseys. She will be taking orders at registrations. The old jerseys can still be used. We still have some old ones that will be for sale for $15 each. It was brought up that some AYSO regions are sending Soccer items to the kids in Iraq. The board voted to send any left over reversible jerseys to kids in Iraq. We will be phasing in our new look as the new jerseys are being used. After this season we will not sell any reversible jerseys. Reversible jerseys can be used till they wear out. The Under 14,16 and 19 division teams may buy their own jerseys. The jerseys must have the AYSO logo on them.

Everyone needs to fill out a volunteer form for 2005 – 2006 season. All board members must have a volunteer form turned into Ty or Mary before the next board meeting (August 11). Anyone that does not will be dropped as a board member. All coaches must have a volunteer form filled out before they will be given a team (coaches meeting). Ty passed out job descriptions to the board members that were present. Please stay within the limits of your job description. This protects you and the Region with the Volunteer Protection Act.

John and Steve are working on getting the fields ready for fall. The goals will be moved, nets repaired or replaced. Sod has been ordered; sprinkler heads will be raised or lowered as needed. A storage building is being built to store field lining equipment and such in. A suggestion was made to let the teams practice one day a week on the fields. After some discussion, it was tabled to the August Board meeting.

Rick Roth and Jason DeRosa will be doing scheduling for the referees and will also serve as Assistant Referee Administrators.
Dennis Earl and Mike Thress will be training coaches and will also serve as Assistant Coach Administrators. Victor Gosnell has been called to do ministering, but will remain as a member at large.
Tyina Barnes will be the Assistant Treasurer,
Catrina Clark is the Equipment Recycle Coordinator and Assistant Equipment Manager. If you have or know of anyone that has used soccer equipment ask him or her to donate it to the region so we can get it to kids that need it.
Rick Parker will remain, as Safety Director, and Lynn Waller will become the Assistant Safety Director.
Amy Waller and Liesl Harrison will be the Kid Zone Coordinators. Kid Zone forms will be given to the division coordinators, and collected by Amy and Liesl. Forms will stay at the fields is a file cabinet.

Amy is doing the Regional Assessment for the region. She has passed out sections to different board members; please turn in what you can as soon as you can.

With nothing further to come before the board the meeting was adjourned.
