The January board meeting for AYSO Region 337 was held at Faith United Methodist Church on January 12,2006 at 7:00 pm. Board members present were: George Burgess, Pat Burgess, Terry Wilshire, David Lister, Angela Lister, Liesl Harrison, Sharon Wise, Mary Davis, Tyina Barnes, Lynn Waller, Amy Waller, Laura Walters, Melissa Range, Dan Hawkins, Rick Roth, Sandra Harbison, John Harbison, Catrina Clark, April Parker and Rick Parker, Mike Moody, Cat Seagle, Vickie Easterday, Bill Mize, Mike Horner, Jason DeRosa, Paula Owens, and Kerry Patterson.
The committee for the U12 team going to Chicago will hold official try-outs on February 4 and February 11. The committee will choose 12 players and 4 alternates. Bryan Easterday, Rick Roth and Kelly Gilliam are the coaches and Vickie Easterday the Manager. So far around 27 players that are interested have been practicing on Saturdays at the fields. Lets all support the team and everyone that is involved.

A Code Of Conduct Policy was given to all board members that were present. The Code of Conduct Policy is laid-out by the AYSO National Board.

Any fund-raising done at the fields is to be done in or around the Pavilion. No walking around on the track and interrupting coaches and parents during games.

There are 2 U6 teams and 2 U8’s that will start playing indoor at the YMCA on January 17.

A financial report was given to all present. Current balance is $3,206.83. Please let Sharon Wise know when you purchase anything at Office Depot and also what you buy.

Registration will be Saturday January 28 at Central High School from 9:30-2:00. Starting February 2 the fee goes to $75. Anyone that can take some of the flyers to the area schools please do so. Be sure to wear your blue Region shirts to registration and come with a SMILE.

Training classes for new referees will be on February 4 and intermediate referee on the 18th. Safe Haven course will be taught at the same time.

Training for coaches will be on February 4th and 17th. Meetings with ALL coaches on February 15 and 16. These dates are subject to change so make sure to check the web site to make sure of date, time and place.

A volunteer is needed for the U8 division commissioner’s job. Rich Guy will work with David and Angela Lister with the U12 division.

The fields will need to be aerated for the spring season.

Mike Jorden is going to pour a concrete pad for the concession stand trailer.

Paula Owens has volunteered to be the Practice Field Coordinator. She will be in charge of assigning practice fields to the coaches.

Registration and room reservation for the Section meeting has been taken care of. George will be sending everyone their room conformation number.
With nothing further to come before the board the meeting was adjourned.
