Theresa Gray reported we have around $4000 cash on hand. Included in that total
is the $1000 donation from Walmart.George reminded all that they need to submit
their budgets for 2005. Theresa had handouts with examples of cash receipt forms,jersey
receipt forms and reimbursement request forms. Reimbursement forms must be submitted
within 60 days of purchase.
Tyina wants all division commissioners to have new coaches and volunteers to
turn in a volunteer form. Everyone that turned one in for fall season is covered
until next fall.
Victor reported we have 137 coaches on the list. There will be a new coach’s
clinic (check web site for dates & times). The safe haven is included in
the course.
The fields have been aerated. Steve Gray has been marking corners to make 1st
field lining easier. It will probably be summer before we get the metal building
moved because the ground is to wet. When that is done we will need to have a
good lock for it .We will get the gravel for the overflow lot spread soon.
There are new soccer accident forms.
We will need some new goals for U6’s. Four will be taken to the YMCA for
indoor use.
Eric picked up the last of the jerseys and will be returning some we got during
the fall season because of the neckline.
Laura Walters is doing a great job with U6 & U8 indoor. Vernon has a family
member that is not well and has not been able to do anything.There are 4 U6
teams and 3 U8, s. the season starts January 20. Laura asked everyone to make
sure and sign in at front office of the YMCA.
Russ Woolard is going to have referee training February 18 & 19. The U8
refs will train separately. February 26 is the date for intermediate referee
training.
The Brian Rowe issue needs to be addressed. George will write him a letter to
inform him that he will not be able to coach in 337 anymore.
Teresa Guy has an idea for the goodie bags, for soccerfest. Beachball soccer
balls and rubber ducks that that look like a soccer ball. The entry fee would
have to be raised to cover costs.
We have 80 people going to Atlanta for the section meeting. This number includes
family members going.
The Regional Auditor position is open and a class will be offered in Atlanta.
Rick & April Parker will be taking over as Newsletter Editors. George would
like to see at least one a season.
Registration will be January 29, at Central High School starting at 10:00. Medic
will be there at 9:00 am.
Jason DeRosa will be the assistant new player coordinator. Melissa Range a member-at-large.
Mike Thress is the assistant director of instructors.
