The August board meeting for Region 337 was held August 10th at the soccer complex on Rifle Range at 7:30. Board members attending: George Burgess, Pat Burgess, Cat Seagle, Amy Waller, Lynn Waller, Liesl Harrison, Kerry Patterson, Rich Guy, Chris Mott, Kelly Gilliam, Mike Moody, Dan Hawkins, Tyina Barnes, Mary Davis, Angela Lister, Laura Walters, Vickie Easterday, Bill Mize and Melissa Range.

As of August 10 there are 728 players that have signed up and entered into e-AYSO. There is an additional 90 players that are pre-registered. We may go over 800 before the season starts. We had 849 players last fall season. We have 130 volunteers registered so far.

The treasurer was not present to give a financial report. The regional budget has been submitted to National and a copy will be turned in to the Area Director on Saturday. George would like an audit to be done before season starts. Amy reminded everyone the importance of staying in the budget.

The Fountain City Methodist church is letting us use a room for referee training on the 26th of August. Classes for intermediate referee’s is postponed until a later date.

If you haven’t turned in your Volunteer form yet it needs to be done as soon as possible.
Division Coordinators were told to pick up Kid Zone forms, game cards and information on the Uniroyal free soccer to put in coaches packets.

A set of goals has arrived and will be assembled during the 3 day scheduled field prep day on August 25, 26 and 27. Please plan on lending a hand at least one of the days.

Lynn Waller will be handing out first-aid kits at the coaches meeting. Coaches who coached before use the one you have, if it needs to be replaced talk to Lynn Waller.

U5/6 division and U8’s need more coaches. U12 needs more players, and the U14 and U19 needs 1 coach each for the 2nd boys team.

The Lady Vols still need teams to participate in their half-time activities. If you are interested in having your team in the half-time activities contact Amy Waller.

There was money left over from the 2005 budget so we will use it to replace the tables under the pavilion.

The Area 5B meeting will be held on August 12.
U8 and up new player clinic will be August 19 from 9-11. U5/6 will be held on August 26 from 9-10:30. Please come out and help with the clinics!!!
